Original Post: http://www.move.com/trends/five-fathers-day-libraries-for-book-loving-dads-photos/

Bibliophile fathers dream of libraries like the ones we’ve found on REALTOR.com. If your father would rather receive a first edition of Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass or Thoreau’s Walden; or, Life in the Woods than season’s tickets to the Red Sox for Father’s Day, send him a link along with your e-card. (Though we’re guessing most bookworm dads would expect a note written in your neatest penmanship!)

5. Highland Park, TX: The library (above) in this landmark Dallas area estate features a handpainted bucolic mural, the perfect setting for reading a favorite tome. Originally designed by noted architect Anton Korn, the home has been meticulously renovated to preserve its timeless architecture.

4. San Francisco, CA: This Pacific Heights Classic Revival mansion features a grand library befitting its majestic turn of the century splendor. Detailed box-beam ceilings imported mantlepieces, and walls of built- in bookcases create the perfect reading spot. This estate actually has several libraries, the perfect manse for literary types.

3. Palm Beach, FL: The vermillion decor of the library in this Italianate villa designed by famed architect Marion Syms Wyeth features elaborate architectural detailing, from cornices and moldings to soaring ceilings. Built in 1928, this home features a private tunnel leading to the Atlantic, should dad decide to bring a biography to the beach.

2. Washington, DC: This 1930 Tudor mansion has a library with a bank of built-in bookcases reaching the A-framed ceiling. The pass through door is an interesting feature.

1. Greenwich, CT: This magnificent Long Island Sound compound features a traditional library with fireplace, wood paneled walls, and coved bookshelves. This turn of the century French style estate features library and gallery spaces on both the main and garden levels.
